Westfield Broward (previously known as the Broward Mall) is a one-level 1,000,000-square-foot (93,000Â m2) shopping mall in Plantation, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. It is managed and co-owned by the Westfield Group. The center features 125 retail and service shops, four department stores, and a variety of casual dining venues. The Mall was owned and managed by the Mills Corporation, also owner of the nearby Sawgrass Mills mall, from 2003 until Simon Property Group acquired The Mills in 2007. Simon operated the mall for summer 2007, and in November 2007, Westfield officially acquired the mall and renamed it "Westfield Broward." Westfield completed a renovation in 2013, significantly alter the appearance of the food court, as well as the play areas and family lounge. More restaurants were added, and a 12-screen Regal Cinemas was built adjacent to the mall.
